The Ambience

The hotel was built by the architect Prof. Sachs. He gave the building its modern architecture, though the use of wood and stone is entirely in line with tradition and fits in with the Alpine nature.

Today the hotel consists of one main building, connected with the adjacent building by an interior hallway, as well as a small manor that can be reached via a short covered outside corridor. The house only has two storeys and is bathed in daylight from morning to night due to its exposed position. 50 double/single rooms and suites are available for our guests.

The interior design is of an elegant Tyrolean style featuring wood and stone and a décor of plain, embroidered and elegant fabrics. This style is maintained throughout the entire house: the hotel restaurant as well as the dining room, bar and reading room with open fireplace are flooded with light, providing a feeling of warmth and safety and an unobstructed view of the wildly romantic nature of the Dolomites.

In 1999 we expanded our offer to include our new “Armentarola” Beauty and Wellness facilities. An oasis for body and soul consisting of an indoor pool (15 m x 8 m), Sauna at 60° and 90°, tepidarium, steam bath, Kneipp grotto, bucket shower, relaxation room, fitness room with Technogym equipment and a beauty area – in line with the motto “heyday for the senses from the power of nature”.
