St. Leonard – Hl.-Kreuz-Kapelle – Wengen

We meet at 09:00 a.m. in the hotel. A taxi (extra charge) will take us to the St. Leonard chairlift.

We take a steep gravel path and reach the Hl.-Kreuz-Kapelle (Holy Cross Chapel – 2,045m) in 45 minutes. During the ascent we can admire beautiful meadows and forests. After a short rest and a tour of the chapel we carry on to the “Armentara” meadows.

The huge “Sass de la Crus” massif and the Ten Peaks are towering above us. We cross the “Armentara” forests of Swiss stone pine and spruce leading to “Spescia”. From there we take a gravel path passing several mountain farms: Coz, Ciurnatú, Fontanella and St. Barbara. Eventually we will reach Wengen, where a taxi is already waiting for us to take us back to Armentarola.
