Falzarego Pass – Averau Lodge – Averau fixed rope route – Cinque Torri

Hike: app. 4 hours

We meet at 09:00 a.m. in the hotel. A taxi (app. € 15.00) will take us to Falzarego Pass.

From the pass (2,105m) the trail rises gently through meadows at first, then we take a rocky trail to the narrow pass “Col Gallina”. Once there, we carry on for app. 20 minutes along the southern flank of Averau Mountain. The ascent to Averau Peak is via a fixed rope route. (You can also choose an alternative to the fixed rope route).

We go back the same way, then descend towards Cinque Torri Lodge. From there a gently sloping trail through forests takes us to an expansive meadow near the Cortina-Falzarego road.

From there it’s a ½ hour taxi ride back to the hotel.
