Hike from Valparola - Pass up to Col di Lana

Hike: Ascent app. 2.75 hrs., descent 2 hrs., total 5 hrs.

We meet at 9 a.m. in front of the hotel. A taxi will take us to Valparola Pass.

From Valparola Pass (2,168 m) we start off on trail No.23. We will be hiking along the Gerda, admiring the wonderful mountain peaks, above all that of Marmolada Mountain, along the way. Behind us lies the imposing Lagazuoi Mountain, where we may get a glimpse of some climbers on one of the many climbing routes. We will stop for a rest on top of Col di Lana (2.452 m), where the mountain guide will point out the surrounding peaks to the group. The descent takes us through the enchanting Ciampac Valley to Andraz (1,414 m), where we will take a tour of the Buchenstein ruins.
From Andraz a taxi will take us back to the hotel.
