Nordic Walking

Walking with the help of appropriate poles is a type of sport that is especially suited for a holiday dedicated to physical well-being. This kind of body movement exercises both the arm muscles as well as those of the chest and enhances the ability to walk briskly and fast. The rhythmic movement has a very positive effect on the circulation and increases the effect of exercise.

Use of the poles:

  • Compared to walking without poles, Nordic Walking increases your heart rate and oxygen consumption;
  • increases your energy consumption (app.30–40%);
  • strengthens chest, shoulder and arm muscles;
  • eliminates muscle tension in the neck and shoulders;
  • improves coordination of movements;
  • does not stress the joints (mainly those of the knee);
  • lowers the risk when walking on slippery (icy) surfaces.
