“The most beautiful mountains in the world”, that’s what everyone says who has been to the Dolomites at least once.
In contrast to other mountain ranges they are: brighter, more colourful, more imposing, almost architecturally modelled.
Created 200 million years ago, they rise up to 3000 m. The name is owed to Déodat de Dolomieu (1750-1801), who studied the special composition of the mountains. Now they have been nominated to become a Unesco World Heritage Site.
A backdrop for winter sports that can’t be topped.
